WebNov 15, 2024 · Plans to develop a new cycle hub in Reading have been given the go-ahead. The cycle hub includes the change of unit use at 32 West Street. The proposed town centre hub is designed to provide more secure and enclosed town centre cycle parking facilities for up to approximately 82 bicycles, with both experienced and novice cyclists in mind. WebReading Bike Hub Ethical Reading (ER) has identified bike theft as one of the main deterrents to people cycling into central Reading and has been working on plans to improve bike parking in the centre of town. Reading has one of the highest rates of bike theft in the country, with 421 reported bike thefts between October 2024 and September 2024.
