WebI can't recommend an instrument rating enough. Yes it's an additional expense, and can be tough to maintain if you don't fly a lot; but the training will make you a better pilot. Sharper, more confident, and more knowledgeable. And then if you do decide to travel, weather becomes a much smaller obstacle.
