WebJul 5, 2014 · Originally we were supposed to have concrete poured over the existing patio to bring it to the same level as the pool deck, but the pool ended up a few inches higher than originally planned (installer was concerned about the high water table), which would have necessitated an awkward slope in order for the two sections to meet in the middle.
